Math and Science: All levels are offered to all ages. We teach alongside school
curriculum rather than introducing students to new curriculum, helping them improve
on homework and tests. Our students’ test scores dramatically improve up to two
grade levels on average.
Private Lessons and Tutoring: All of our disciplines are taught in private lessons
where each instructor adapts to the learning style of each student on a personal and
individual basis.
Select Small Group Classes:
-
Group Piano (all ages): Small classes of 2-3 students each learn to read music on full sized 88 key keyboards alongside an instructor who demonstrates on a Grand Piano. Students learn how to read music, how to play pieces, and how to play together as a group in a fun and interactive environment.
- Pre-K Music Exploration: an exciting new program, exclusive to Joe Ferrante Music Academy, that introduces young children (2-5 yrs.) to musical concepts in a fun and interactive environment. Sessions are 8 classes of 40 minutes each that meet once a week. Our teachers are all uniquely trained to work with young children and use our own patented Guide to Pre-K Music Exploration to familiarize kids with note reading, singing, rhythm and drums, and various musical instruments. Kids learn to have fun with music while developing musical, verbal, and mathematical skills in a social environment. It’s a great way for little ones to make friends!
- Mommy-n-Me (3-4 yrs.): Because childcare is often a full-time job, these classes make it easier to start or continue a parent’s music education without having to get a sitter and at the same time start the little one’s musical development. In a typical 30 minute lessons, 15 minutes of teaching go to the child and 15 minutes go to the parent, making music a fun activity for parents and children to enjoy together!
- Summer Camp: During a week long camp, up to 5 students in a group are introduced to several musical instruments including: Piano, guitar, voice, and drums, with art and drama during select weeks. Kids learn together from 9:00am to 12:30pm Monday through Thursday in four 40 minute sessions with a provided snack break. This camp is a great way to introduce kids to multiple instruments over the course of a week so that they can choose one to specialize in. Students learn the importance of collaboration, personal musical expression, and it’s a great way to continue learning in the summer while still having a ton of fun with friends!
