At Joe Ferrante Music Academy, we have top teachers who are experts in the craft of theatre. Students with an interest in acting and the performing arts can study privately with one of our degreed theatre teachers. Our private coachings prepare them for their performances or big auditions.
Students will study the importance of stage presence and posture, how to exude confidence while speaking, how to project and support their voices, as well as text, scene and play/script analysis. Our Drama teachers will use exercises, warm-ups and techniques with their students to warm-up their voices, bodies, and minds. Students can study classical or contemporary texts. Twice a year we offer awards recitals open to all of our students so their family and friends can celebrate their accomplishments. Every parent wants to know that their child is progressing and having them participate in recitals is the best way to confirm that the investment in lessons is really worth it. Past recital themes include Red Carpet, Christmas, Mardi Gras, Chocolate, Dress-up Halloween, and Glow-in-the-dark. We have a photographer, videographer, and often live-stream our concerts ending in a lovely reception. Students are never required to perform but many do as it’s incredibly gratifying to get to play in front of an audience and receive applause from a full house of support.

Every student of JFMA is on a month-to-month membership. We do not require any large advance deposits or semester commitments. You have nothing to lose as there’s no long-term contracts.
