FAQs About Violin Lessons
-
How old do you have to be for violin lessons?
Our students can begin violin lessons at age 4, and in fact we find that being able to take care of and hold one’s own instrument made just for one’s size does wonders for a small childβs confidence. As a student grows, his or her finger dexterity improves, but one can begin plucking and bowing immediately.
-
What kind of music can you learn in violin lessons?
The violin is an incredibly versatile instrument that is used in genres such as: classical, jazz, country, pop, and folk, and is very popular in music from India, Pakistan, Turkey, and the Middle East. The violin is the member of the string family with the highest range and is a principal instrument of any orchestra.
